Second Round Survey Workshop

The Development Economics Research Group (DERG) and Policy Studies Institute (PSI) organised a workshop to present the second round of the household survey report on the 12 October 2023 in Addis Ababa.

The workshop took place at the Policy Studies Institute and featured an opening session, a discussion on the key findings and policy implications of the report, and a presentation from an invited speaker.

The opening session consisted of welcoming remarks by professor Beyene Petros, director general of PSI, and introduction to the research project presented by UCPH’s coordinator Prof. Finn Tarp. Researchers from both DERG and PSI presented the key findings and data collection of the second survey report, and discussed its implications and potential policy recommendations.

At the workshop, the coordinator for the government programme AGP and FSRP Ato Keberu Belayneh was invited to give a presentation on the experiences of climate resilience building and the contributions by the AGP programme and the expected outcome of the FSRP programme.

The event was part of collaborative research project ‘Building Resilience to Climate Change in Ethiopia: Exploring Options for Action’. The second household survey report had the purpose of comparing the main outcomes between the survey rounds to identify differences.
