Teaching and Training
UCPH-DERG members carry out a wide range of teaching and training activities.
Professor Henrik Hansen was Head of Studies at the Department of Economics from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019 and Professor Thomas Markussen is the present Head of Studies since 1 July 2019.
UCPH-DERG staff are responsible for a range of regular BSc and MSc courses in Economics at the Department of Economics such as:
To this comes supervision of Bachelor and Master’s theses in development economics as well as PhD supervision and advice and the running of regular economic seminar series.
In addition, UCPH-DERG supports the Faculty of Social Sciences MSc in Global Development. Professor Henrik Hansen was Head of Studies at Global Development between 1 January 2014 and 31 January 2019, and took up the position again 1 February 2021 until 1 February 2023 where Professor John Rand took over.
