Tuition Fee

Applicants enrolled as full-time students at a Danish university
If you are a Danish or a foreign national enrolled as a full-time student at a Danish university, you are not required to pay tuition fee for Summer School courses. Please send in a pre approval of the courses from your educational institution.

Applicants not enrolled as full-time students at a Danish university
Tuition fee for Danish nationals, EU/EEA-citizens and foreign nationals holding, as a minimum, a temporary residence permit granted for permanent stay is DKK 2.500 for a 7,5 ECTS course. The course The Cointegrated VAR Approach: Methodology and Applications (10 ECTS) has a higher tuition fee of DKK 6.500

Non-EU/EEA nationals
Tuition fee for non-EU/EEA nationals is calculated on the basis of the Faculty's tuition fee for one academic year.

Tuition fee is: DKK 9.400/ for a 7,5 ECTS course.

The course The Cointegrated VAR Approach: Methodology and Applications (10 ECTS) has a higher tuition fee of DKK 14.100 

Applicants applying for supplementary courses in order to meet the entry requirements of a specific master
If you are applying for a summer school course in order to meet the entry requirements for a specific graduate programme in Denmark you are exempted from paying the course fee. 

Documentation

In order to be exempted from payment, please submit the below documentation together with you application: 

  •  Your BA certificate
  •  A confirmation that by passing the particular summer course you are meeting the entry requirements for a specific master's programme. This can be confirmed by either:
    • a conditional letter of admission
    • an evaluation of admission
    • a letter of rejection
    • a standard  assessment of your bachelor’s degree

It is possible to submit the above doments during the semester in which you are taking the supplementary course. In this case, you must pay the course fee upon enrolment, and the The university of Copenhagen will reimburse you when you have submitted the documentation.

You can submit documentation until 31. August 2013.

The above is only relevant for Danish and EU/EEC nationals plus foreigners holding  a permanent Danish stay permit or a temporary residence permit granted for permanent stay.

Scholarship

The Institute of New Economic Thinking www.ineteconomics.org has granted 10 scholarships of 4000$ each to cover tuition fee and other expenses associated with participation in the Cointegrated VAR Approach. Priority is given to students of less privileged background. To be selected for a scholarship the applicant needs to document (1) excellence in graduate/postgraduate studies, in particular in more demanding subjects such as econometrics, statistics, mathematics and economics and (2) her/his economic background, for example monthly allowances, parental support, etc.

Applicants for the scholarship will receive an e-mail no later than 15th of May with information about the outcome.

Payment:
The tuition fee can be paid by bank transfer or electronic invoice. When we have received the payment, you are enrolled at the University and will get access to the IT-systems. You cannot sit the exam if you have not paid the course.

The price includes 3 exam attempts.

Course cancellation
You can only get a full refund if you cancel the course before the semester begins. Cancellation is done by sending an email to summerschool@econ.ku.dk.
