How to apply for summer school courses
Applications for the 2012 Summer School is now open for external applicants students within the Department of Economics
Application deadline is 20 April.
All applicants will receive word before 15 May regarding the status of their application . For Open University students the deadline for payments of tuition fees is 1 June.
Non-EEA students are strongly encouraged to send their payments as soon as possible after acceptance to the course, to accommodate room for delays in applications to the Danish immigration authorities.

- Credit transfer students (enrolled at other Danish universities)
- Open University students (required to pay tuition fee)
- Exchange students
Already enrolled
Students already enrolled at the bachelor or master degree at the Department of Economics should register in the usual way at the student selfservice on KUnet.

Note for new Master applicants:
It is not possible to apply for summer school courses before you are formally enrolled. So if you wish to take summer courses, apply as soon as possible and mention in your application, that you wish to take summer courses.
Credit transfer students
Students enrolled at other Danish universities can apply as credit transfer students without paying tuition fee provided that they hand in a pre-approvment of the courses in question.
NOTE for Ph.D. students:
Ph.D. students from outside the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen must apply as open university students and thus pay tuition fee.

Open university students pay tuition fee - please see the right hand menu.
In order to be admitted, you need to hold some basic knowledge of mathematics and social sciences. In order for us to assess whether you are qualified, you need to sent us your training certificates.
When applying for us it is of the utmost importance that you speak, read and write English well. Without a solid background in English, you will be unable to participate in class discussions, social activities and to work out assignments and exam papers.
Please send your application by email and attach the following documents:
- Application form
- Academic transcripts
- Copy of stay permit - for non EU/EEA citizens
- Application for an exemption in case you do not meet the admission requirements
Exchange students
If you have been approved as an exchange student at the University of Copenhagen you have the possibility to take these courses provided that you have the relevant qualifications.
To apply please send an e-mail to summerschool@econ.ku.dk including name, date of birth, KU username, home university and your choice of courses.
We CANNOT accept your application before you have been formally enrolled at the University of Copenhagen
