Relevant IT contacts (links)

  • ØI Information: The Information System of the Department of Economics have been installed on all PCs located at the department. The Information system can be found in the “Folder List” in Microsoft Office Outlook, under "Public Folders" > "All Public Folders" > "Institutter" > "Økonomisk Institut". Please address any technical questions regarding access and installation of "ØI Information" to the IT-Office. New employees will receice a thorough introduction to "ØI Information".

  • IT Services of the Faculty of Social Sciences (Center for Samfundsvidenskabelig IT), SAMF-IT or IBT as the center is often referred to, handles the main server functions for the Department of Economics (file-, print-, web- and mail-servers) and the operations of the student PC-user room. IT Services of the Faculty of Social Sciences also maintain the Faculty's local area network (LAN). Technical questions regarding the servers etc. are to be addressed to the IT-Office, who will convey the contact to SAMF-IT. Link to SAMF-IT's website.

  • Library of the Department of Economics: The library's homepage provides access to a number of electronic services, including statistical databases, electronic publications and literature search. There are access to the PC's from both the faculty's internal network (called "ØI network") and externally from outside the buildings by using a VPN connection. See the library's website for contact information regarding questions about the content. In case of technical questions, regarding electronic access, please contact the IT-Office.   • IT in classrooms: Campus Service City has an overview of available classrooms at CSS (Center for Sundhed og Samfund), including their capacity, whiteboard/blackboard arrangements, projectors, microphones and video equipment, wireless access through Eduroam etc. Link to the classroom overview.

  • The PC facilities for students are located at CSS, room 7.01.18, room 7.01.22 and room 7.01.24. The PC-user rooms have a technician attached, who can assist with questions regarding the PCs and use of the rooms. The technician can be contacted by phone (35 32 32 46) or e-mail (brugerrumsvagt@ibt.ku.dk). The opening hours show, when the rooms are accessible, who has first claim to the facilities and when the seperate rooms are being used by the course classes. Link to the PC-facilities for students.
