Getting from copenhagen airport (Cph) to downtown copenhagen

When arriving at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup), you have several choices to go to downtown Copenhagen. We recommend taking the Metro to go directly to the Conference site (get off at Nørreport) and the train to go the main station (the hotel the Sqare is close to the main station).

By Metro

The M2 Metro line leaves from the Metro Station in Terminal 3 at Copenhagen Airport. The Metro operates at 4-6 minutes intervals during the day and evening hours and every 15 minutes during the night. The Metro operates 24 hours. The trip from the airport to Nørreport Station in central Copenhagen takes 15 minutes. The Department is situated a few minutes walk from Nørreport Station.

Tickets for the Metro are available at the Metro station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in Terminal 3 at the airport. Please note that the ticket machines do not accept notes, only coins and cards such as the Dankort, VISA, etc. For more information click here.

By Train

Trains leave from CPH to Copenhagen Central Station every 20 minutes (until midnight) and the journey takes 18 minutes. Tickets are available from the DSB ticket office in Terminal 3 (above the railway station). Tickets are also available from ticket machines in the station area. The tickets are the same as for the Metro.

By Taxi

When leaving the customs area, turn right and go through a rotating door, and you are at the taxi area. An attendant will tell you what taxi to get into. The journey to Copenhagen will cost about DKK 230 (approximately 35 euros) to Downtown; the trip will last from 20 minutes and up (according to traffic).

In the hours between 7 and 10 and again between 14 and 18 you will probably get to downtown Copenhagen faster by taking the metro or the train.
