Professorship from the Danish Central Bank

Two professorships in economics have been granted as part of the celebration of the Danish Central Bank's 200-year anniversary in 2018. The professorships go to the departments of economics at Aarhus University and University of Copenhagen.

The two economics departments have been selected after an open process in which universities and business schools were invited to apply.

Governor Lars Rohde comments: "We want to strengthen Denmark's research in national economy since it is highly relevant to our work in Danmarks Nationalbank. It is our ambition to help raise the overall level of the field and thereby improve our ability to recruit even higher qualified staff with national economic background." Each donation is an annual subsidy of DKK 1 million for five years with a possible extension of three years.
